The 3mm or 1mm foam has been aged for 15 years inside oak whiskey barrels rolled around inside a giant cave once a week to keep them from settling. Pushing these barrels are the most beautiful creatures you could possibly imagine. Nope, try again, even more beautiful than that. There you go, that's pretty close! If you plan to use this with a soldered board, get the 3mm foam. If you plan to use this with a hotswap board, get the 1mm foam. If you plan to use this with an ironing board, set for medium heat and steam occasionally. Included is a 4mm piece designed to sit down inside the battery/weight well, which most people tend to leave empty so why not fill that sucker up with some foam!

First off, I want to get something straight with you guys. I know it says sandwich in the title but THIS IS NOT FOR EATING. Stick to the glue sticks, trust me on this. This is like a Dagwood for your keyboard. It starts off with a bottom layer of 2mm foam that has cutouts for your RGB LEDs and Reset button. The next 2mm layer on top of that has those same cutouts, but also some cutouts for your hotswap sockets and SMD components. Next layer up is a 2mm simple ring that just surrounds the PCB itself. On top of all that? A 4mm layer of meaty foam to go between your PCB and plate. Also included are some nice honeycomb shaped adhesive foam feet to match the bottom of your board's fancy design. The end result is a solid sandwich of foam that goes from plate to plate, completely encasing the middle of your UT47.2 sandwich keyboard. It is now durable, keeps the crud out and most importantly, feels and sounds like a premium keyboard again. And the best part? You can still put it in your pocket and walk around yelling "I'm the Keeb King of the World!" if you want. Surely I'm not the only one who ... nevermind, I may have said too much already.

They are 4mm thick and with a standard 1.5mm plate, they will compress about 10% to create a single composite sandwich. Guaranteed to reduce rattles, vibrations and dampen the sound of keystrokes. KBDfans module foam

So I don't know what to call this thing. The website says DZ65RGB. The pictures show DZ68RGB. The voices in my head are calling it something completely different and not safe for work. No matter what you call it, this PCB now has clothes to wear! A 4mm foam layer goes between the PCB and plate to hold that plate in place, keep the noise under control and give your board a bit more solid feeling and keep it from floating away. With all those lights shining out of that keyboard, it kind of looks like it might just float up off of the desk and fly off into space right? No? Maybe it's just me. Under the PCB, the hotswap sockets are cradled in 2mm foam cut precisely to each socket, stabilizer screw, tall chips and components, etc. Underneath that, a 1mm layer of foam keeps those sockets secure and prevents them from popping loose off of the PCB while providing the finishing touch to completely fill the case cavity with foam. This comes with another 4mm piece of foam cut to sit in the battery/weight well of the Tofu65 case that so many people seem to use with this PCB. Here is an all in one solution, just like your keyboard wasn't.

KBD75 Case Foam (Hot-swap version)

This foam combo will take your OLKB EOTW (Easy on the Wallet) Planck keyboard and fortify it with a foam barrier filling in all the nooks and crannies. When it is rebuilt it will be ready for the EOTW (End of the World). You can trust that this little keyboard will take a smacking and keep on clacking! Plate foam of 4mm is the first line of defense, preventing hordes of invading vibrations and pings from penetrating the NPF (New Planck Fortress) you have created. An adhesive ring of 2mm foam surrounds the PCB and protects it from any outside invaders trying to place crumb bombs inside your NPF. Below that, a 3mm layer of foam with cutouts for important components like hotswap sockets, MCUs, LEDs, DIPs, CHIPs and PIPs(?) shore up the last line of defense, keeping the heart of your NPF protected and operating at peak efficiency. Does it get any better than this? Maybe one day, but until then - if you plan on protecting your Planck EOTW well enough to survive the EOTW and turn it into a true NPF, this foam is what you need ASAP.

This combo kit includes 4mm plate foam and 2mm case foam with hotswap cutouts. Installation requires taking the board apart, putting the plate foam inside, slipping the PCB back into place GENTLY, putting the case foam on the PCB, putting the 'acrylic' (plastic) diffuser back into place, press all of the plastic plugs in tightly to hold everything together and then screw the top half to the bottom half. These foams are designed to fit the ALT LOW PROFILE - a keyboard designed and produced by DROP (previously Massdrop). Small note: Drop has recently added a brace to the ALT. To account for this divider there is a scored a line in the foam for you to cut along if your ALT happens to have this divider. Even smaller note: Works for both High Profile and Low Profile variants.
